Gitcoin donations are a good on-chain interaction behavior. Optimism has considered "donating to Gitcoin on the mainnet" as one of the weights for airdrops. Additionally, Gitcoin is a good place to discover Alpha projects, where you can see many pre-funding projects, even some hackathon projects, and get familiar with innovative directions and projects.
Considering the high gas fees for donations on the mainnet and the inability to donate through zkSync, it is recommended to participate when gas fees are low. Although there is no minimum donation amount, the minimum amount for each project is at least 1U, and it is recommended to donate using DAI.
